Judge Andrew J. Wistrich

Andrew J. Wistrich was appointed as a Magistrate Judge in 1994. Prior to his appointment, he practiced law at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen in San Francisco, and Brown and Bain in Palo Alto, concentrating in intellectual property litigation. Before entering practice, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles Clark, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Judge Wistrich received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.

Judge Wistrich is the author of numerous articles in legal publications, including articles which focus on how judges and juries decide cases, and he is a frequent lecturer on such topics.
