Judge Patricia Donahue

Judge Donahue was appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge in May 2020 and sits in Los Angeles.

Before her appointment, Judge Donahue served in a number of roles at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, including Chief of Trials, Integrity and Professionalism. In that role, she provided advice in a broad array of federal criminal and civil litigation. She also served as Chief of the National Security Division and the Violent and Organized Crime Section, and she handled a wide variety of matters from investigation through appeal and tried numerous cases. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School teaching appellate advocacy, and she was a litigation associate at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell.

Judge Donahue received her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and her A.B. from Stanford University.
